Research project in the Red Sea
Research on Indo-Pacific bottlenose dolphins
We use this newly gained knowledge to better protect animals
Setting guidelines for the protection of dolphins and their marine habitat in the Red Sea.
Creating protective measures that can be introduced in other locations.
Training people who work in wildlife tourism to treat nature with respect.
Education in kindergartens, schools, universities etc. to inspire a better understanding and respect of sea life and to enlighten future generations on the topic.
A Day on the Research Vessel Your Exclusive Research Day with Angela & Her Team
Spend a day on the Red Sea with Angela and her team and experience their work with wild dolphins first-hand.
Our research days are not traditional dolphin tours. You’ll join the team aboard a research boat and gain a personal insightinto their work, from observing and documenting dolphins to collecting valuable field data.
Along the way, you’ll learn more about the dolphins of the Red Sea, their behaviour and their habitat, and how our researchcontributes to their protection.
There’s also time to enjoy the Red Sea yourself, whether swimming, snorkelling or diving and discovering its remarkableunderwater world.
With a little luck, we may encounter wild dolphins during the day. Sightings can never be guaranteed, as these animalsmove freely in their natural habitat. If dolphins are present, our research team will assess their behaviour and the conditionsbefore deciding whether entering the water is appropriate.
The wellbeing of the dolphins always comes first.
