Eno — The Sociable One

Eno was first identified in November 2010, the first confirmed calf of Eva, likely born in August of that same year. In 2015 we sighted him for the first time without his mother; even then he bore some distinctive markings on his dorsal fin that made him easy to recognize. In February 2021 his fin changed once more, and ever since, it has been unmistakable.

Since gaining his independence, Eno has been observed several times every year – no surprise, as he is a remarkably sociable dolphin. He may not have found a steady buddy for life yet, but he is rarely alone: he often swims with Sefa, Didi, Balu, or Samih, and lately he seems particularly fond of José's company.

Now 16 years old, Eno is at an age when many male dolphins have long since found a lifelong companion at their side. So we are all the more curious to see whether he settles on a steady buddy in 2026.
