«Dolphins of the Reef» Wins Best VR Film at the 2025 LA Film Awards
The Los Angeles-based company Immotion has produced the virtual reality film ‘Dolphins of the Reef’ in collaboration with the Dolphin Watch Alliance. This immersive 360°/3D experience highlights the unique connection between dolphins and coral reefs and shares stories about species conservation in aquariums and zoos worldwide — demonstrating that it is possible to experience dolphins without keeping them in captivity. Angela Ziltener accompanied the film crew for two weeks on the Red Sea as a guide, protagonist and scientific adviser. The film was awarded Best VR Film at the 2025 LA Film Awards.
