This year, the Dolphin Watch Alliance had the honour to take part in the 8th edition of the El Gouna Film Festival, a celebration of creativity and environmental storytelling at the shores of the Red Sea.

We supported filmmaker Keith Scholey, Co Chief Executive Officer and Director at Silverback Films, who presented the breathtaking documentary «Ocean with David Attenborough». The film dives deep beneath the waves to reveal both the beauty and the fragility of our blue planet, reminding us why marine conservation matters more than ever.

Beyond the screenings, DWA organised VIP eco-trips to raise awareness for dolphin protection. Among our guests were actors, producers, and special visitors — all united by a shared love for the Red Sea.

During these trips, we witnessed first-hand why respectful encounters with wildlife are essential. While several boats chased resting dolphins, our group chose to explore a quiet reef instead — a moment that beautifully reflected our mission: True connection with nature happens through respect, not pursuit.

Moments like these strengthen our commitment to protect the dolphins of the Red Sea and to preserve the delicate balance of their home.

A heartfelt thank you to Keith Scholey for the inspiring presentation of his film «Ocean with David Attenborough», and to all participants who shared their passion for protecting the sea. Together, we continue to inspire awareness and respect for nature.
